Attorneys Josie Rahn and Austin Walker Earn Orange County Defense Verdict

On Friday, April 19, 2024, after a five-day jury trial in Orange County, Florida, BBDG Partner Josie Rahn and BBDG Associate Austin Walker earned a hard-fought defense verdict in a premises liability case on behalf of the Florida Mall and its housekeeping contractor, Interstate Cleaning Corporation. In this case, the plaintiff alleged a slip and fall occurred at the Florida Mall on March 6, 2019. Defendants argued that Plaintiff could not meet her required burden of proof and could not prove negligence on behalf of either defendant. In closing argument, Plaintiff asked the jury to award her more than $2,000,000 in damages, but after deliberating, the jury returned a defense verdict.
